Cryptopunks! Explained!

Whether you love them or hate them, Cryptopunks is an interesting little project made by LarvaLabs in which 10,000 24x24 pixel "cryptopunk" avatars were created and claimed by Ethereum users. Each cryptopunk's design was determined by an algorithm that randomly assigned a number of attributes to each one of the 10,000 unique avatars. These cryptopunks can now be bid on, sold and transferred to other Ethereum users on https://www.larvalabs.com/cryptopunks.The rarest ones (avatars with rare attributes like gorillas, zombies, and alien punks) are selling for upwards of $5500 USD! This is another controversial, yet fun project that uses smart contracts in a unique way.
